Read More Button disappears for the image

Hi there,
I'm using your theme for a noncommercial site of my gardening association, kind of.
For the website we figured out, that the "Read more"-Button only is visible when no picture is shown on the blog page with the list of all articles. I know that the link is placed on the image instead, but is there a way to also enable the "Read more"-Button for the articles on the overview page for alle articles?
Sorry if this is a double question, I couldn't find anything in the forum.

Based on the fact, that the website is not public the password to get access to is kgv2019

Read more button should show regardless whether featured images are displayed or not.

Are you using custom excerpt metabox for this post?

If so that would be the reason why the read more button is not showing. You can either remove the custom excerpt or try this solution:
