Hi guys, how are you doing?
May I ask your help, please?
can you please help me with a guide on how to properly add analytics in generatepress?
I followed one tutorial but seems like it was not correct.
Another thing is, do you guys know to optimize analytics, in a way it won't give me speed warnings?
Many thanks!
Hi there,
optimizing Analytics is complicated but there is a plugin that allows you to load them locally:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/host-analyticsjs-local/
Might be worth trying that out first :)
Hi David! thank you! yes, I installed this plugin yesterday, will wait a few days to see how it responds.
In case I give up plugins, how would I add analytics without plugins?
Many many thanks!
You can use the Hook Element - this article explains adding Google Tag Manager:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/implement-google-tag-manager/
If you're using Classic Analtyics then that only provides one code to be added to the site. The one that goes in the header.
thank you!!! :D have a great weekend!
You too !
