Problems with the GP Gallery

Hello everyone,
I am a musician, trying to create my website, as it is supposed to serve as my digital business card. I have gotten pretty far at this point, but I am really struggling with the GeneratePress Gallery block. My goal is to create a Discography gallery (4 columns with the square coverarts), in which each picture:
(1) is responsive to mouse movements
(2) is clickable to place a link to its respective song page
I am using the GP Premium Template "Solo" for my site. This is how my "attempt" for the discography looks so far:

Can someone help me with this? I would really appreciate the input, as I really don't know how to get there at this point.

Hi Wolfram,
GP doesn't have a gallery block.
I believe you are referring to the Gallery block from core WordPress?

If so the theme (any themes) doesn't have any control over it.
From what I know, the core gallery block isn't very good so you might want to consider using an actual gallery plugin like Envira.
