    Hello everybody!

I have problems with the title tag and Google indexing.

I use Yoast SEO, and all the pages (including the homepage) have the custom title through the plugin. If I verify the <title> tag through “see source code” with my browser it appears correctly.

For example in this site: imatica.com (home page):

<title> Computer Services and Software for Companies – iMàtica </ title>

    But…

    In Google SERPS, this appears:

IMATICA: Computer Services and Software for Companies

    Is not the same 🙁

In all the pages of the web I have selected the option “hide content title” (Disable Elements)

This problem only happens on the home page. And it’s happening to me on all the websites designed with GeneratedPress. The same structure: NAME (Two points): Description.

    What can be?

    Thank you 🙂

    Hi there,

So just to make sure, you said that this happens in all GeneratePress sites, meaning that you’ve tested with a twenty series default WordPress theme and the problem doesn’t exist?

    Let me know 🙂

    Hi Leo,

I can not say that, since I have not tried it. But the last 3 projects I created with GP and I never had before. I’ve been using Yoast for more than 10 years without a problem.

It is very strange and desperate because I do not find the “error” 🙁

    Hi David,

It’s possible that Google just has the old title cached.

GeneratePress doesn’t add the <title> tag – WordPress does.

If the <title> tag is correct in the source, Google will pick it up as it’s displayed.
