Problem with Polylang and GeneratePress Secondary Menu
5 replies · Started by minas on August 13, 2019
Hello to the team!
I am using the latest wordpress, GP Premium, Polylang.
The languages added using polylang are English (default) and Greek. I created two menu items for the languages (appearance > menus) and assigned them to be applied on secondary navigation menus. The problem is that the secondary menu appears on the Greek version of the website and not in the English version, it disappears

Thank you in advance!
Hi there,
I'm not super familiar with Polylang, but maybe this will help?: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/navigation-menu-disappears-on-one-of-the-languages/#post-10758777
Let me know :)
Hmmm... i cant understand the answer he gave on that post...
When i create a NEW secondary menu and apply it to both languages, it works fine. But when a change is made the menu created disappears...
Have you tried creating a separate menu for each language?: https://polylang.pro/doc/create-menus/
yeap, i have already tried that...
Really, i have searched a lot and cannot find a fix on this issue.
May I give you admin credentials to try to fix the problem and post here the solution if you figure out the issue causing it?
Thanks for your help so far!
Have you checked with Polylang support yet? They might know of a quick way to fix it that I'm not aware of, as I'm not super familiar with Polylang. Our menus are using regular WordPress menus, so there shouldn't be anything crazy preventing it on our end. I would definitely be interested in what they have to say.
Let me know :)
