I’m using Elementor and I’m having problem not being able to edit the page itself. If my post page is set to Customize > Homepage Settings > Posts Page – I get this message “Sorry, the content area was not found in your page. You must call the_content function in the current template in order for Elementor to work on this page.”

I know you guys work with Elementor so I’m hoping you can help. (your theme is mentioned in their instructions so I thought maybe there was some connection.

The other problem is even though I have a header merge element that is working through the entire site (for different photos) it is no longer working for the Posts page since this other problem.

    Thanks, Jana

Yes, I have seen this and tried thing such as tried a plain WP theme, disabled the Switch Editor Loader method, disabled all the non-Elementor and GeneratePress plugins, cleared the cache, tried it in other browsers and I’m stuck! It makes it sound like GeneratePress does have the necessary the_content file?
    Thanks, Jana

Isn’t the issue that you can’t use Elementor to edit the posts page?

If so #1 in the linked article above suggested that you cannot do so unless you have Elementor Pro’s Theme Builder function.

I am using Elementor’s Pro Theme Builder for each post. Am I supposed to layout the blog page itself as a template and apply it to the Posts Page? I can’t test right now because client is looking at pages. Thanks!

Have you checked with Elementor’s support on this?

I’m not familiar with how to use Elementor on the main posts page.
