[Support request] Post order on Elementor

Hello, I copy an email that i change with Elementor for a post order.

They told me to contact you:

Thank you for contacting us and our apologies for the delayed update on this ticket.

I watched that video that you shared and was actually able to see and replicate the issue. I noticed though, that you are using Menu Order. By default, Posts in WordPress does not have “Order” field unlike with Pages as shown below.

Currently, I could see that your Posts do not have this option.

To use the Menu Order on your Posts, you would need to a custom action to your functions.php, also for the option to show on Posts and here is a snippet from an external source to help you with that: https://gist.github.com/chrisguitarguy/1301501

I highly suggest though, to contact your theme to properly implement the code as the snippet above is basically just an example.

Once you have the Order field, you can then specify the order of your Posts either through the Post Attributes or through using the Quick Edit like in the screenshot below.

This shouldn’t be related to the theme – Elementor’s support always say this 😉

You can try adding that code using one of these methods here:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/adding-php/

If that code works for a default WordPress twenty series themes, then it should work in GP.
