Hi, I want to create a portfolio page in my website. The layout would be a gallery with different projects In the gallery I want to have just the main image but let people click on it to open the project with all the details.
    1) How can I create a gallery page?
    2) How can I do the second step, letting people click on every main images to open a specific page of that project? Do I have to create a new page for every project and link the main images to their specific page?

The result would be the same of this website: http://www.labstudiografico.net/projects/

    Thanks

    Hi there,

I believe using WP Show Posts plugin would be a good option here. You can use the featured image as the gallery image, and it will automatically link to your posts.

For example, see the section before the footer widgets in Target:
    https://gpsites.co/target/

Let me know if this helps 🙂

Hi Leo, thanks for the reply. I added the plugin you suggested me. Please can you tell me how to use it? I saw the section in the link you wrote and it is perfect, is what I want to have in my website.
How can I have the same result?
    1) How can I create a gallery, fro mthe page layout or from the plugin?
    2) How can I link the images to a specific post?

    Thanks

    Hi there,

really is a question for the WP Show Posts forum. But it’s quite simple.
Dashboard > WP Show Posts > Add New list.
The settings allow you to define the number of post to be displayed, the taxonomy which you would use to filter your posts, the columns to be displayed and the type of content i.e only Title and Featured image.

Once the list is created you will see it provides a shortcode – which you simply add to the part of your site you wish it to be displayed.

Documentation for each of the tabs is provided here:
