Peak theme issue?

I am trying to edit the blog page with the Peak theme so that there is NO header image, or at least change the text from "Blog" to something like "News and Updates" and for some reason, changes are not being made. Other parts of the site work fine.

No matter the options I select it is never reflected. What am I doing wrong here?

Hi there,
Metabox doesn't work on index pages (blog, archives etc).
You can add the posts page to the exclusion of that header elements:
