PayPal Smart Payment Buttons

Hi Guys.
Is there a known issue with GP Premium and Paypal Smart Payment Buttons?
I have downloaded a few different Paypal Express plugins, and they just dont work correctly.
As soon as I enable Smart Payment Buttons in the settings they dont appear:
In the minicart, or single page.
As soon as I disable Smart Payment Buttons options, it reverts to a different style button, and the paypal buttons then appear where I have told them to.

Can you help with CSS to make it look like this? Im struggling with it :(

I have re-enabled that (or disabled that actually).
The buttons only work when Smart Buttons is disabled, very strange.
I wouldn't normally mind, but the non smart buttons are actually being discontinued soon :(
Can you enable the Smart Buttons so i can take a look at why they're not displaying?

So the HTML is being output - but it is empty. So could be a misconfiguration of the button plugin eg. not finding the gateway or a server caching issue

I can see the errors in console
Uncaught ReferenceError: paypal is not defined

What they mean, I don't know, Ill have to see if I can fix it. Thanks again.
