password protect page

Does anyone know why it could be that when I set a password to protect a page, the password isn't recognized?

These are the options I have ticked at page level:

Have checked suggested docs but nothing seems to cover this, so not sure what the issue is.

so to clarify, you add a password to the post, and on the frontend you can visit the post but the password you enter is not recognised?

It was a CDN caching issue on my host.
