Parallax on Mobile

I'd like to create an effect similar to https://www.kavaculture.com.

Their parallax is very smooth and works on the desktop as well as on mobile. It appears they are hosted with squarespace - so it is likely their internal parallax code.

I have found this old topic in the forums and it works well enough, but it does not work across mobile browsers (as far as I can test).

I am aware that mobile integration of parallax can be hairy.

I have also tried CSS methods Which I find works just as well, if not smoother, than the other topics I have found on the support forum.

However, I cannot get any example I have found to work on mobile.

Any tips or suggestions?
