Pagination not working
11 replies · Started by Manish on April 11, 2019
I am not sure why but the pagination for posts which are long and split with <!--nextpage--> doesn't seem to be working.
The page does split and the pagination appears at the page bottom but clicking on page 2 or 3 or 4 .. loads page 1 content only. There seems to be some loop issue.
We tried disabling all plugins but it did not help. Here is a sample page with the problem

Hi there,
is this topic of use?
https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/how-to-break-up-long-posts-into-multiple-pages/#post-849872
Nope, this doesn't seem to change anything.
<!– wp:nextpage –>
<!–nextpage–>
<!– /wp:nextpage –>
same result.
Could be a server issue with your permalinks. What happens if you re-save your permalinks in Settings > Permalinks?
Thanks!
It was due to some custom urls developed with the plugin Permalink Manager Lite. Just bulk regenerated the slugs through that plugin and then disabled it.
Matter resolved! Thank you!!
Awesome! Glad you got it working :)
Hello there,
The same issue is happening to me (when I click on a different page number, the page refresh but the content is the same... :-O ) But I've regenerated my permalinks with no apparent success.
It's happening in several places using WP-Shoposts. Like here:

https://www.tempsart.cat/page/32/
Could you cast some light upon the thing, please?
Thanks!
Hi there,
Is it only happening with the pagination of WP Show Posts?
If so any chance you can open a support topic in WP Show Posts support forum as it's a separate plugin?
Free forum: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/wp-show-posts/
Premium forum: https://wpshowposts.com/support/area/pro-support/
Thanks!
It's happening only in WP ShowPosts. BTW, being a premium customer of Generate Press, am I a premium or a free user of WP Show Posts?
Hi there,
WP Show Posts is a separate product with its own paid for license. Its completely separate to GeneratePress. So if you haven't paid for a Pro license you will need to use the free forum that Leo has provided a link to.
OK, Thanks for the quick anwser, David.
You're welcome
