Installed shop theme. trying to edit the front page.
i see the shortcodes and elements, but can't find any easy way to edit them without using the text editor and possibly breaking the code. dont we have some kind of page builder ?
Any suggestions ? i installed generateBlocks but it doesnt seem to provide this.
Thanks
Hi there,
the Shop page is built with GenerateBlocks, but we choose to use the Woocommerce shortcodes as they are more performant then Woocommerce Blocks and they respect the Theme styles for woo shop/products.
You can find a list of all the shortcodes and their parameters ehre:
https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-shortcodes/
You can of course add Woocommerce blocks to the page.
Thanks David.
is there no easier way to edit this page ?
see what im referring to.

Hi Boaz,
From your screenshot, I can see that you’re using WordPress’ classic Editor. GenerateBlocks can be edited through WordPress current default Gutenberg - Block Editor.
Using the Block Editor, making edits would be as simple as such: https://share.getcloudapp.com/P8u1WeZJ
You’ll also find videos here which may guide you with regards to using the WordPress Block Editor: https://www.youtube.com/c/GeneratePress/videos
WordPress has been using the Gutenberg Block Editor since version 5.0.
It would be best to use this to make editing much easier with our products. :)
Hope this clarifies. :)
Hi Fernando, to be honest, i have always avoided using Gutenberg, i guess its time to try it.
Thanks, this was very helpful
You’re welcome Boaz! Glad you’ve decided to give it a try! Feel free to reach out anytime if you’ll need further assistance. :)
