    Hi,

I’m building out a static homepage with two rows of three images (each with an h2 heading) below the header container.

Currently, it looks like there’s too much padding between the two rows. I’ve already cropped the images down so there’s no boarder, but I would like to reduce the white space between the two rows (i.e., the bottom of the images in the top row and the top of the h2 headers in the bottom row).

    Is this possible?

    Any help greatly appreciated!

You’ll see an “under construction” sign if you go to the website homepage, so I can show you an screenshot if that would be helpful.

    Hi there,

Let’s get this issue sorted first so we can see the columns:

    Hi Leo,

Thanks – the issue in this forum thread (https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/rows-not-displaying-on-home-page/) is actually for a separate site.

This site I’m talking about has 2x rows of three images, but I’d like to reduce the white space in between the 2 rows on the homepage. I can show you a screenshot if that helps as I have an “under construction” sign if you go to my live site.

How are you creating the rows?

Screenshots don’t really help in this situation as I need to see where the padding coming using code.

Any chance you can unlock it for a couple hours so I can see?

I’ll remove the public link in your reply above.

    Definitely – it’s now live at https://www.wepersonalfinance.com/

The issue is that the white space in between the two rows is too much and I’d like to reduce the white space so the rows look tighter together.

I’ve cropped the images so there are no borders. Any help greatly appreciated.

I see three empty paragraphs and non-breaking spaces in between the columns:

    Thanks Leo –

The issue has been that I delete these paragraphs and non-breaking spaces, and then when I “update” the homepage in the back end of WordPress, it always reverts so these paragraphs appear.

    Is this a WordPress issue?

I can delete the paragraphs and preview my changes, but when I go to update, the changes aren’t saved. I’ve also cleared my cache.

Let me know if this sounds like something that could be happening with Generatepress.

    Thanks,

    Evan

Nvm I just deleted all the rows and started from scratch and it seems to have worked.

Honestly, I just ran into similar issues recently.

WordPress does weird thing before shortcodes.

3 was too many though. Glad starting from scratch worked 🙂
