All fonts from Elementor are removed.

Now when I try to change the font like you say, it does not change to the font I’ve chosen. Just remains the same.

So in short, if I change font in Elementor or Customizer, he still points to some font somewhere.

The font is set to Roboto in Elementor: https://www.screencast.com/t/YAhgc4QaZQr

So now I have to go back to Elementor ?

Problem is that when I change the main fonts in Elementor, it also remains the same. I set the font to Josefin Sans now.

I’m not seeing Josefin Sans anywhere – only Poppins.

I was just wanting to see if the fonts would render correctly if it was only GP calling them, not GP and Elementor.

Hey Tom, I don’t know why, but I’m seeing Josefin Sans clearly here:

BTW, perhaps this can help? I still have the site when it was on its testing domain: http://www.sitesmid.com/nemegheer

Ok, I’m seeing that as well now.

However, it’s not actually loading Josefin Sans from Google.

I believe Elementor should be doing that automatically, but it’s not.

What font do you have set in your GP Customizer settings now?

Inherit. But if I set on Josefin Sans, it doesn’t make a difference.

I’m afraid I’m not really sure what’s going on. Can you set the font in the Customizer and save? Right now there’s a call to Google happening, but no actual font set. Not sure what would cause that – could be some sort of conflict.

This is what the guys from Elementor say:

Could you please show my attached file to GeneratePress. Inform them that once you switch your theme to twenty seventeen this error is not present.
This is the one causing your fonts not to show.

Something is preventing the actual Google Font name from being added to the Google Fonts API call. It might be a function or plugin conflict.

Feel free to send me temporary admin login details if you’d like me to take a look: https://generatepress.com/contact/
