As you’re creating your own templates it may just be simple to swap out the entire loop seen here:

    https://github.com/tomusborne/generatepress/blob/adfe090929b0515cdf894f4c6b722cfe8c0790dc/single.php#L24-L32

    With you own custom loop.

    You’re welcome.
The site intrigues me – would be great to see it sometime 🙂

    I’m combining these two sites:

    https://KidsCodeCS.com (magazine)
    https://beanzmag.com (marketing)

One of the problems I have with the GeneratePress, ThemeIsle, etc sites is that I need the home page to be a brochure with stripes (single page site) while the inside pages are mostly a magazine (issue pages and individual article pages) and content like About, Contact, etc. Templates are either/or, not both.

Thanks again to you and Elvin for your help!

I need the home page to be a brochure with stripes (single page site)

This you could build this using the Block Editor the free version of our sister plugin GenerateBlocks.
My approach would be to set the Content Container to Full Width and Disable any theme elements you don’t require to give you a complete blank canvas.

Then use the GenerateBlocks Section block to build out each of the Sections. Its how GeneratePress is built and the majority of the Sites in our Library.

Thanks for sharing the sites – thats really cool – i love that Magazine front page.
