howdy, would like to know if adding 50-100 pages under the structure below would have load time or performance impact on GP?
as a FYI: i don't wan't to use blog pages.
Say, the primary page is a list of all the articles on a given topic. So, on that page there would be links out to article #1 - article #100
b) each linked article from the list would be nested in its own individual page.
c) so, in essence it's a 101 page site.

Unfortunately it's not possible for us to give an exact answer to questions like this.
The speed of your site depends on many factors beyond what the theme can control.
The best thing to do is to create what you have in mind, run some speed tests and go from there.
The more content you add on the page, the more load time it needs. This isn't GP (or any other themes) can control.
