Not getting full functionality for page editor

Hi, I am not a coder and chose GeneratePress for that reason. I've got a "sandbox" to work with but I'm trying to follow a tutorial on starting from scratch and when he adds a page, the available editing features for text and media look very different from mine!

I only get b, i, link, b-quote, del, img, ul, ol, li, code, close tags, whereas the tutorial video shows a visual editor to work with.

I have activated everything... not sure how else to get at a visual editor on the dashboard.

Am I doing something wrong?
