New Widget Area Missing Functionality

I love generate press, but with the latest updates the widget area has become less intuitive and lost lots of features in my mind. I have a stickied side bar on this site (https://simplifysheets.com/basics/data-validation) Note my support section stays with the user as they scroll. This was done with the fixed widget plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/q2w3-fixed-widget/). Now though, my site shows that all my widgets are legacy and I can't edit them anymore without starting over. And simple features like check a box to make a widget element fixed are now lost.
I have screenshots, but is there a way to go back to the "legacy" version which has far more functionality and is far more intuitive?
I can't even select the whole widget area to use an html anchor id, very disappointed with these changes to generate press.
Hi there,
Its not GP that implemented those changes, its part of WordPress 5.8. And i must say the Block Widgets needs some work...
This doc explains how to disable them and use the classic widgets:

As always Generate Press support surpasses all expectations! Thank you! I should've realized it was a wordpress update!
Glad to be of help!
