New Installation: strange gap between breadcrumbs

I'm working on a new site using the Pivot build from the Site Library.

I've noticed that the blog featured images are sometimes close to the breadcrumbs, but most of the time leave a big gap.

I like this spacing OK:

Gap too big:
https://sunilbhaskaran.com/business-building/

I can't figure out what's going on or what to adjust. I've not used Pivot before and I can't seem to find the right place.
