Need support with Off Canvas Panel

Hi guys,
I am using the off canvas panel on my site. It works fine so far but there is a problem and I need support:
I want that people can just click on an parent menu name and the sub pages are visible. This works by standard only when you click on the arrow. So I changed that via "menu - primary menu -> click menu item".
I have an menu like this:
PARENT PAGE (not a true page, just a name and the field URL is empty)
SUBPAGE (at true page with ID)
When I click now on PARENT PAGE than the Off Canvas clothes immediately.
How to fix that?
Hi there,
Does the parent menu item link has a # in the URL field?

Let me know :)
Hi Leo,
it was empty before but I added a # now. It is working, thank you! ;-)
Does someones knows how Google handle this links https://abcexample.com/# ?
Best,
Silko
Google Indexes pages, not Links. If Google thinks its relevant it may show that link in a rich snippet.
I was following the instructions at https://docs.generatepress.com/article/using-the-wordpress-menu-builder/#custom-link
"Hint: If you don’t want your item to act like a link, remove the # once it’s added to the menu (the # is necessary to add it in the first place)."
This is confusing to me. Based on my testing, the # needs to be present or the behavior described above by Silko occurs.
Just to verify, should we use a # if we want the menu item to only expand and show it's submenu items?

Yes :) Our site does the same with the Help parent menu item.
You may want to update that hint text then ;) Thanks
Little confusing for sure.
I’ll take a look.
Thanks :)
