Hi, I added a new header element because customization options in the default customizer are not working for me to make the height responsive on smaller devices.

But the new header is not showing at all on the website. I tried if deleting all former settings in customizer (layout-header and backgrounds-header) would solve anything but still nothing is showing.

I run the latest versions (2.2.2 & 1.8.2) and deactivated plugins, cleared cache, etc.

It is a recently installed site so there are no legacy headers or hooks. Do you now what might be causing this issue?

I found out it needs content. a single space was enough to show the image.

Glad to here you got it resolved.
I would recommend adding a <!-- HTML Comment --> in the content. It won’t be displayed on the front end.

    Thanks!
Unfortunately I need the nav.bar beneath the header, so I’ve got some work to do looking more into the documentation.

Like to move the navigation below the header element?

If so try this PHP snippet:

    Adding PHP: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/adding-php/
