Hi there, for a while I have hided my header on the frontpage with a layout element. Now I want to display a login in header.
I have deleted the layout element, but the navigation does not display?

Thanks!

Hi Ying, exactly, but why is the navigation not displayed on the frontpage, I have deselected all my custom css, but the navigation is still not there. As said, I have had a layout element disabling the primary navigation on the frontpage, but this has been deleted, but it is like it’s still kicking in?

Hi there,

1. Check the Elements - and make sure the Layout Element is not in the Trash.. if it is empty the Trash. This shouldn't be an issue but its worth eliminating that.
2. Edit the Page, and make sure the Navigation is not checked in the Disable Elements Meta box.

Hi there, thanks for the suggestions, the Layout Element is now trashed permanently, and the Navigation is not checked in the Disable Elements Meta box, but same result.

Do you have any other Elements ? Or any custom functions on the site ?

I have tried deactivated my child theme and deactivated GP premium to rule out this, but no navigation on frontpage.

I can see theres a mobile header ( although thats hidden ) but it contains a menu.
The missing Menu in the header, i can't explain, if theres no GP setting or Function changing its behaviour then its probably to do with with Buddy Press ( i assume thats being used, as i can see a bp-noveau class on the site ).

Hi there, issue with the missing navigation on front page is solved.

I had created a Sidebar Layout element, to hide sidebar on frontpage.
But I have also disabled the primary navigation in the same element.

Sorry for the inconvenience;-)

Now the primary navigation menu is containing links which are for logged in users only.

Do I have other options to hide menu pages to logged out users than to use a plugin?

Thanks!

Theres some code solutions on forums like StackExchange, but personally i would go with a plugin :)
