Navigation background image issue

Hi,
I am building a site with Primary and secondary navigation (top bar) and am having an issue with styling. I have setup the following in the customizer:
1. Set background image for Primary navigation (no bg color)
2. Set background color for Secondary navigation (no bg image)
This works as expected on desktop view, but when viewed on mobile (or when the navigation has collapsed) the background image for the primary navigation is shown on the secondary navigation area. This is because the primary bg-image is applied to elements with the '.menu-toggle' class and the secondary menu-toggle button has that class on it.
Is this how it should work?

Not exactly sure what the whole picture is here. Any chance you can link us to the page you're working on? To inspect and have a better idea of how we should go about doing the custom styling.

Thanks for that. Is there any way of knowing when a bug like this has been fixed? Is it always listed in the release notes?
I just ask as I am handing the site off to a client, and will have to do an interim css fix until the bug is resolved, and then go back and change it.
