[Resolved] Navigation as a Header

Hi,
I seem to be missing the ‘Use Navigation as header’ option under the header settings as shown here: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/navigation-as-a-header/

I’m running GP 1.8.1 and have a logo in the site identity settings but there is definitely no ‘Use Navigation as header’ checkbox.

Any suggestions?

Make sure to remove the navigation logo first.

Thanks did that, then realized the checkbox is actually at the bottom of the settings panel not at the top!

…..sorry just discovered that with this option turned on, when using an Element Header with Merge with Content set to Merge the Header Background colour setting doesn’t seem to work.

Am I doing something wrong or shall I just use some custom CSS to achieve this?

When I try to add a background color to the header in the Element Header > Site Header settings, nothing changes.

The header no longer exists when using the navigation as a header option so make sure you use the Navigation colors options:
