[Resolved] My theme not allowing me to show categories widget on sidebar

I would like to add categories widget so that readers can surf through content. While adding that widget, theme is not allowing me to add that widget on right side bar. The places allowed seem to be HEADER and FOOTER Bar only which is not right place according to me. Suggest

You can definitely use sidebar widgets with GP. We are using it on this page.

The page you linked has no sidebar selected. Perhaps this would help?
