    Hello,

I have noticed recently that the side menu on the my account page has not been displaying correctly.

It seems the little icon to the right hand side wont display at all and there seems to be bullet points to the left of each item.

I am not sure if the bullet points are deliberate, however I am quite sure the icon is not!

Here is an image of what it looks like,

    Thanks,
    Mike

    Hi there,

That doesn’t look like it’s from GP?

Can you link us to the page in question?

You can edit the original topic and use the private URL field.

    Thanks!

    Hello,

It 100 percent is GP, only theme I use! I will update the private URL and you can create a standard customer account and see.

    Thanks,
    Mike

Oh and by the way, the URL will give an SSL cert error for the time being. Dont worry, its legit! πŸ™‚

GP doesn’t have an account management add-on or a default My Account page.

Are you using a plugin for that?

    Hello,

Yes this is using woo commerce.

    Thanks,

GP shouldn’t have any control over how the my account page from WooCommerce is displayed.

I would recommend trying #1 here to eliminate any plugin conflicts:
    https://docs.generatepress.com/article/debugging-tips/

And make sure there aren’ any custom CSS or functions added.

If this doesn’t help then you might need to bring it up to WooCommerce’ support.

Let me know if this helps πŸ™‚

    Hello,

I suspect this is something to do with font awesome. I am looking into a solution and will post my solution if i get one!

    Thanks,
    Mike

    OK,

Solution time. No idea why it is not displaying some of the font awesome icons, a lot of people seem to think it happened to them after a change of web host, however the site I am working on has never been migrated away from its current host and is a very fresh install.

So, the solution was to install “Better Font Awesome”, https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/better-font-awesome/.

Not ideal I guess as its an extra plugin, but it sure fixes it!

Seeing as I have gone to all this trouble I may aswell replace the default icons!

    Thanks,
    Mike

The theme itself no longer loads FontAwesome by default for optimization so it’s up to the plugin or users to load it when it’s needed.

More info here if you need: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/font-awesome/

    Glad you figured out πŸ™‚
