Can you leave it there for testing purpose?

And have you modified any of the GP theme files?

If not, can you prepare a staging site so we can do more testing on it?

Thanks!

Hello, The CSS is there and I have not modified any GP theme files. Please take a look and let me know.

None of us can replicate the issue in our install so we would definitely need a staging site from you to test.

Are you able to start a fresh install (without any plugins including GP Premium) and see if the issue exists there first?

Hello, I created the staging site (linked privately).

I deactivated all plugins and the issue is gone. I reactivated GP Premium and the issue is reproduceable.

Each time before testing I clear the server and browser cache.

The issue is ONLY present on an actual iOS mobile, using Chrome. I've tested 4 different mobile devices and I was able to reproduce each time.

I also attached a link to two more videos of the issue for your review.

Looking forward to your feedback.

I logged in your staging site and activated GP premium plugin.

I don't see the double click issue on Chrome mobile anymore.

Can you test?

Just tested and the problem still persists. I'm guessing you didn't clear the cache right before your test? I cleared the cache at the server level and then recorded the video attached showing it still requires a double click.

The problem goes away after that initial click but this is a huge problem for me. Please have your team review.

@Ying Could you please also delete the screencast link since it shows my website?

Can you disable server cache for now? It's really difficult to test with cache on.

Thanks!

Done! Please let me know what you find :)

So the issue is caused by the Hide on scroll feature of GP premium, once it's deactivated the issue is gone.

We need to dig deeper to find which line of the code is causing this.

For now, you can disable the hide on scroll option for sticky mobile header to eliminate the problem.

Thanks for your patience and time, appreciated!

We did some digging, the reason that the double tap issue occurs on iOS device using non Safari browser ( firefox as well) is:

WKWebView is an Apple API and according to apple's policy, it can only be the Safari Browser on an apple device. All other browsers have to use the API.

So it's an issue between apple and other browsers, we can't really do anything about it.

If you want to avoid the double tap, the only solution for now is to stop usinghide on scroll feature on mobile :)

Hi and thanks for getting back to me.

Just to confirm, I see two different checkboxes for hide when scrolling down. One under "Layout > Sticky Navigation" and another under "Layout > header". Should I disable both?

Hi Plo1,

The one in Layout > Sticky Navigation is for Desktop and Tablet. The one in Layout > Header is for Mobile. You can try and check if disabling only the one in Layout > Header would resolve the issue.

If not, and if the issue occurs on Tablet or Desktop apple devices as well, disable the one in Layout > Sticky Navigation too.

Hope this clarifies. :)

Hi,

I tried all the steps metioned aboth, but the issue still persist on IOS chrome browser.
Any other solution?
