Moving site to theme in Site Library - Conditional Menus

Hello fantastic generate Press people. I am considering using on e tf the themes in Site Library, I am busy creating fairly large sitewith many pages under various menus, so I am using conditional menus to arrange. I was wondering wwhat happens to conditional menus when I change themes, and I have read somewhere in the forum that when you backup the site for later restoration, it does not back up menus? I would love to preview what would happen before I make the change, but I see this is not an option... so once I cnage, and it doesnt work, will there be a problem with the menus ( including my list of conditional menus) ? That would be really messy for me to correct... But im itching to make the change... Thought I might ask first.

Hi there,
the Sites aren't designed to be imported on a pre-built site. As the results may not be what one expected. If you wanted to see how it works out then i suggest creating a Staging site and then import the Site. That way your live or production site won't be affected.
Sites will make changes to the GP Settings which will include assigning the Sites menus to relevant navigation. So it will replace the visible Navigation but won't remove your old menus the just won't be assigned anywhere unless it was added by another plugin ( and then i couldn't say how that would behave).
