Hi,
I wonder if it’s possible to leave more space before the Read More button (Leggi di più) in the blog page of the Website I’m designing
https://avvocatogiorgiorocca.com/blog/
Is it possible? If Yes, I don’t know where
Kind Regards

October 22, 2020 at 11:36 am #1500350LeoStaffCustomer SupportHi there,
There should be some space there by default.
The issue is that Elementor is overwriting it with their CSS:
https://www.screencast.com/t/71sOguMRzIs that added by you?
If not can you check with their support first? Their CSS shouldn’t be activated on this page as it’s not using Elementor.
Let me know 🙂
October 22, 2020 at 12:53 pm #1500452Silvina Dell’IsolaThank you very much, Leo
I’m about to send a ticket to Elementor support center
I’ll let you know, of course
Kind Regards

You can use this CSS in the mean time as a temporary fix:
.entry-summary p { margin-bottom: 1.5em !important; }
Adding CSS: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/adding-css/

This was the reply from Elementor support
https://www.loom.com/share/55842a459c844edd96b5e4cabc579b48.Anyway, should I fix this issue through CSS, I should add this line in the GeneratePress Customizing settings, that is in
Customize > Additional CSS
Isn’t it?
Thank you very much for your precious support!

October 27, 2020 at 4:13 am #1505951DavidStaffCustomer SupportHi there,
that CSS should not be required now you have added the bottom margin in Elementor.
Question – are you intending to use Elementor to create more pages / content ? As currently it looks like it is only being used for the Navigation and Footer. Elementor loads a lot of CSS and JS to do that, which could be easily created in the theme. Let us know if you want assistance with that.
October 27, 2020 at 4:51 am #1505997Silvina Dell’IsolaHi David
Yes, I’m using Elementor, even if I’m aware that it loads a lot of CSS
Anyway, in the future I’m interested in creating websites with a better load time, but I’m afraid I had to give up using Elementor…Isn’t it?
Kind Regards

October 27, 2020 at 7:20 am #1506170DavidStaffCustomer SupportThere isn’t an issue using Elementor aside from the load it puts on your website.
If you ever want to replace it for building page content then you can always use GenerateBlocks:https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/generateblocks/
Which is super lightweight.
For your Footer you can use GenerateBlocks with our Block Element module to create the same look:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/block-element-overview/
For the Navigation you can use the Navigation as Header option in GP:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/navigation-as-a-header/
And to add a fancy underline when hovering on the menu you can do this:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/adding-menu-hover-animation/
October 27, 2020 at 7:32 am #1506201Silvina Dell’IsolaI learned about GenerateBlocks, it’s very very powerful
I want to test it 😛October 27, 2020 at 7:34 am #1506217DavidStaffCustomer SupportGlad to hear that!
A new update is coming and there will be some new features and improvements 🙂We welcome any feedback you have!
