Mobile Menu not working
11 replies · Started by Shari on July 27, 2021
The mobile menu doesn't do anything. Works great on desktop and tablet media. I've tried playing with some of the other off canvas options etc but no luck. Also cleared my cache.
Also my Back to Top button doesn't show either on mobile or desktop. Z index possibly?
Hi there,
Any chance you can disable all plugins except GP Premium to eliminate conflicts from other plugins first?
Let me know :)
I deactivated all the plugins temporarily, cleared cookies, and it still doesn't work. The only non-generate press and blocks plugin I have installed and currently activated is Animated Number Counter and deactivating it didn't make a difference. I should amend that the menu also doesn't work when I downsize my desktop browser to be small enough to get the 3 line menu with drop down.
Hi there,
i cannot see the requests for the menu.js that GP requires on your site. And there are no scripts or other links in the wp_footer which is not normal.
Do you have a child theme ? Or have there been any edits made to the Theme templates?
Or do you have any custom functions on your site?
I don't have any child theme and I haven't made edits to the theme templates. No custom functions, just css for modals to popup but I stuck with no javascript operations. What should I do to double check on the menu.js?
Hmm that's super strange.
Can you disable all plugins except GP Premium and provide the dashboard credentials for us to take a look?
Updated Private info with login details
Can you create a new Page in the site, with just some a simple text block and no other content.
Then check that page.
I think the issue is related to the Custom HTML being used on your current page. Let me know

Only has a header and text and mobile menu still doesn't work
Odd...
a couple of things that i would address:
1. You have a LOT of themes in Appearance > Themes. You should delete all of those.
2. Your site is running PHP 7.0 - this is really out of date, ask your host to update this to PHP 7.4.
Fix those first then we can take another look.
Sadly we have network solutions and php 7.0 is the latest and greatest, even after a phone call about updating. I'll go ahead and delete the extra themes.
Hi Shari,
Sadly we have network solutions and php 7.0 is the latest and greatest, even after a phone call about updating.
Do you mean, the host said they can only set up 7.0?
The latest version is PHP 8.1(stable v8.0.8). Some hosts already provide the option to update to this. Even 7.4 can be considered "out-of-date" although there are many users that are still using it.
If the host can't update to a newer PHP version, you may have to consider changing to a new host/server.
Note: Actually, it may be best to settle changing to a better host first. Even Google PSI is having trouble accessing the page. It's loading too slow - https://share.getcloudapp.com/OAun90Pj
