I have a page hero header and the mobile logo loads fine in mobile view, but in tablet view it doesn’t load.

In the page hero, I have the “Merge with Content” option set to “Merge on Desktop only”.

It appears some css is getting fired in the tablet view, which is stopping the logo from displaying.

I have tried disabling all plugins, but the issue remains. I have tried deleting the “Mobile Header Logo” in the page hero, but the issue remains.

Specific page with this issue is posted in the private info section.

    Thanks!

    Hi Martin,

Can you disable your caching plugin first temporarily? We’ll check again afterward to assess what’s causing the issue.

Just checking in on this to make sure it didn’t get missed! Any ideas on what the issue could be here, and how to fix it?

    Thanks!

    Hi Martin,

Did you change the mobile menu breakpoint by any chance?

    Let me know 🙂

Ah yes, it looks as though I did — to 940px (since when it’s much narrower than this, the regular nav menu runs across two lines which doesn’t look great!. When I return the breakpoint to its default (768px) the logo appears in tablet view.

I still don’t understand why this is only a problem when I create a hero using the new Element system — my hero that’s inside the legacy page header will show the logo in tablet view just fine, without having to return the mobile menu breakpoint to default.

    Any ideas why?

Does this mean that if I want a logo in tablet view on a hero that uses the new element system, I have to have a mobile menu breakpoint of 768px? Is there any way of having the logo display in tablet view without having to use the default breakpoint?

Thanks for your help so far!

    Hi there,

Can you try uploading a mobile header logo in the header element?

I already have a mobile header logo set in the header element.

    Hi Martin,

    I’m a little bit confused.

Is the header element set to merge on desktop only?

If that’s intended why would there be a need to have a second logo?
The second logo is generally only needed when you have a transparent header – just like the desktop.

    Let me know 🙂

I apologize for the confusion, Leo.

The header element is set to merge on desktop only.

Basically, I want to keep a logo there at all resolutions — this works fine in the hero I have using the legacy page header system. In the new page hero I created using the new “elements” system, as soon as the resolution fall below 941px (my mobile menu breakpoint) the logo disappears until the resolution falls below 769px — at which time the logo reappears.

So, what I am trying to achieve here is to have a logo appear at page widths between 769px and 940px — just as it does on the page I’ve linked in the private information field below, using the legacy page header system.

Does this make any more sense? If I am doing something wrong (more than likely), I apologize and would appreciate a nudge in the right direction!

I just turned the merge on desktop only option off and the logo now shows in all resolutions. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction!
