I went to (whynotpadlock.com) and tested my website, and it showed 2 “mixed content errors.” It shows 2 .jpg URLs that are named HTTP instead of HTTPS. I would like to change these manually but I can’t find where the code is in my file manager. It should be the “index.php” file inside my “Generatepress” folder right? There’s hardly any code in there at all, and those .jpg URLs are not there. Any ideas? Thanks!

    Hey Nick,

Any chance you can link us to your website so we can see which images need changing?

You can edit your post to add the link privately if you’d like 🙂

Hi Tom – when I add my URL and click submit, the box gets a red outline and it says “add your URL” – I can’t add my URL for some reason. Am I doing something wrong?

    Hi there,

can you check the URL is correct and includes the HTTP or HTTPS.

OK it worked that time. I normally have a coming soon page in front of my site, but I removed it so you can see what’s happening. Thanks!

Ok, so easiest way to fix this is to remove and re-add the background images to the navigation and the footer.

OK, so I did what you said to do and it seems to have worked, except I only have the green padlock on certain pages. It’s still not showing up on the majority of pages. Any idea why that’s happening? Thanks.

You need to update the permalinks in your Site. Try this plugin, where you can search for the current URL and replace them with the prefixed https://mysiteurl.com version:
