Hi Tom,
I’ve re-entered FontAwesome social media icons in the MainNav, and they are not rendering on two computers in Firefox, Safari, Ms Edge and Chrome. I want them to float to the right of the menu.I’ve had this problem before. A lot of people have had a rendering problem with Firefox. But I can’t find any good solutions. Could it relate to adding font awesome in child theme’s css and wp-content themes?
Could you take a look?
Thanks.

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperHi there,
Make sure both of your URLs in “Settings > General” match.
Also make sure the URL you’re visiting matches the URLs in your general settings. (www or no www for example).
Let me know if that helps or not 🙂

Hi Tom,
Settings>General URLs match — http://dickrobinsoncopywriting.com.Then you wrote, “Also make sure the URL you’re visiting matches the URLs in your general settings. (www or no www for example).”
My social media URLs don’t have the general settings URL (“http://dickrobinsoncopywriting.com”) at all.
For example, the Facebook custom link URL is
“https://www.facebook.com/dick.robinson.77”Don’t see anything that matches there…
Thanks.

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperHi Dick,
I meant, are you making sure you’re going to site at the same URL as your have set.
For example, if your setting is: http://dickrobinsoncopywriting.com
Are you making sure you’re not visiting http://www.dickrobinsoncopywriting.com (with the www) for example.

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperHard for me to tell then. It could be a plugin you’re using, or a setting in your browser.
Can you see the fonts on http://fontawesome.io?

Hi Tom,
These actions did not produce rendering of social icons in MainNav:
(1) Saw Fontawesome fonts at http://fontawesome.io.
(2) Refreshed Firefox.
(3) Started Firefox in safe mode with networking.Thanks.

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperIf you can see the icons on that site but not on your website, then something on your website is causing the issue.
I’m afraid there’s not much I can do as I can’t see your website, but I’m willing to bet it’s a plugin or some custom code added somewhere.

Hi Tom,
I’m going to try to put social icons in my custom header instead of the MainNav.Do you think I’ll run into the same rendering problem there?
Thanks.
