Hi there, I am working with Generate press and elementor and I would like to have a slider background and my navigation (colorless) on top…Is this possible? Do I need to put the slider background in my header? Is there a way to put the slideshow in the menu background?
kind regards

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
Your site is under coming soon page so I can’t see.
Are you looking for something like this but with a slider as a background?

StaffCustomer SupportSo that’s done with our header element module which you can learn more about it here:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/how-to-create-a-page-hero/
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/header-element-overview/Simply add the slider shortcode as the page hero content should work.
Let me know π

Hi there! yes, this works but unfortunatly I lost my logo in the top…I have placed it in site identity…But it’s gone? also the box for the header(nog the slideshow itself) is way too heigh so the rest of my site begins after a really big amount of space…I took the maintenance mode of if you want to take a look π

StaffCustomer SupportI’m still seeing the maintenance mode.
Can you double check?

Hi there, I’ve turned it on and off again π could you please check it again?

StaffCustomer SupportI can see the site now.
It simply looks like there isn’t a logo uploaded in site identity.
Looks like you have some caching plugin activated. Can you try clearing and disabling it for now?
As for the page hero size, perhaps full screen option is not what you wanted?

Hi There, I’ve cleared my cache and my logo is visible, hoory, this is only way too big…do I need to make another one and re-upload? Or is there an internal solution?
about the full screen option… I’ve tried to change it to contained but I don’t have any result…the width by the way is perfect, the problem is the height

I’m sorry, i fixed the height! π

StaffCustomer SupportTry the logo width slider in the customizer:

Hi there, yes that does the trick..I just ant to change the height of my navigation also but I don’t have that option when I go to appearance – customise – layout – primary navigation…i thought I culd fix it there…but maybe I miss something?

StaffCustomer SupportYou are currently using Elementor for the menu so GP’s options won’t work.
