Lars
Hi,
I’m trying to include a menu in the footer bar. I thought this would be easy (and it probably is) so I’ve simply added the nav widget with my menu in the “footer bar widget”. See screenshot: https://www.dropbox.com/s/gvyyhcq5qtzvj2q/footer-bar-menu.jpg?dl=0
But it does not appear anywhere on the front-end. Am I missing a setting? Any suggestion on what I may be doing wrong?
Best regards

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
could you link me to the Site ( with the menu widget in the footer bar ) ? You can edit your original topic and use the Site URL field tom share the link privately.

Done. I’ve added the url in my original post. It’s currently in staging” but hope to have it ready to go live tomorrow afternoon.

StaffCustomer SupportHmm not seeing anything obvious.
Any caching plugins or server cache?
There are actually menu items in the Footer menu?

Ok. I’m a bit closer to a solution.
Went back and double checked and noticed the menu was gone for the footer widget. Felt silly but then I added it again – clicked “done” and “save” and “save” again.
And still no menu in the footer bar.
So went back to widget section to check again – and there the menu was gone again.
It seems to “auto-delete” or something after I’ve put it there.
Any idea why this is happening?

StaffCustomer SupportHmm unfortuantely no. Never heard this before.
Maybe some sort of plugin conflicts? All other widgets work ok?

Ok. I’ll try to investigate a bit further and get back to you.

Didn’t solve it but find a work around – as it possible to put a “text widget” in the footer bar. And the menu I was going to put there only contained one url (privacy policy) so could just make a link to it with a text widget.
Howevr – I have another question that i suspect is much easier to solve.
How do I remove the section with the breadcrumbs that appear under all posts.
There must be a setting for this somewhere? Here is a screenshot: https://www.dropbox.com/s/87ofqos1y1n2uud/under-all-posts.jpg?dl=0

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
you can disable post navigation, and any other meta, in Customizer > Layout > Blog. Make sure you have the blog module activated in Appearance > GeneratePress.
