Max Image Height & Columns in Sections

Is there a way to set a max height, say 500px, for an image with parallax enabled? Currently, the image is taking up my entire page? The second image has the right size randomly, but doesn't have parallax working.
Additionally, is there an easy way to add columns/grids to a section?
