I just transferred over from the newspaper theme by tag div, so I’m used to displaying my home page and category pages with masonry grids.
First question: What is the equivalent way to do it with generate press? I was hoping it would allow more customization than what I have experienced so far.
A second question: I would also appreciate some pointers on how these sites have customized their themes as they appear to be using GP too.

Example sites I forgot to add to the above question: https://bit.ly/2ETa1ee and https://bit.ly/2Hh6XtP

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
Have you tried these options?
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/using-columns-in-the-blog/
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/blog-content-layout/
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/adjusting-the-featured-images/As for the example sites, not sure which part you are referring to but the first one is using all sections and the second one is all custom coded basically.

Thank you for your response.
I don’t use posts, only pages and I’m used to organizing them into different categories/sections using tag filters.
I think this is the main issue as to why the “customizing layout” function isn’t working for me. Could you suggest any way around this issue?
As for the second site that is using sections, how are they creating the post grids and titles within them? And is there any way to do this with pages? As mentioned I rarely use posts.

StaffCustomer SupportHmm any reasons you don’t want to use posts? They are designed for things like this and you will be able to use all the customizer options.
Sections can be used on pages or posts. Although I’d recommend looking into Gutenberg now as the Sections module will likely be phased out over time.
As for title blog, I’d recommend our header element add-on:

It would be impossible for me to revert to posts now, there are hundreds of pages. Besides that my site is structured as parent page > child page > child page> etc
Regarding the sections used by this site: https://bit.ly/2ETa1ee how have they inserted the post grids into them?
Thank you

StaffCustomer SupportMaybe a plugin like this is worth considering:
https://en-ca.wordpress.org/plugins/post-type-switcher/Looks like they are using some sort of plugin.
You could try Tom’s WP Show Posts if you want to go that route:
