Hi,
Is there a way to use the Artic template and import another demo content (ecommerce specific) to build the shop? Of couse, I can use a subdomain, but I was wondering if that could be possible / relevant on the same root domain.

So the sub domain will be a separate install used for the shop?
If so then I think you can do that no problem.
Arctic is quite simple to replicate without the import though.

No, ideally, I would like to use the same domain. Apparently, it's better for SEO...
And I would like to somehow integrate the Imprint shop to Arctic...
Do you think I could do that?
In that case, I'd recommend importing Imprint, then we will manually create Arctic as it's quite simple.
The problem being that I already did personalise a few things... Not so much though but still.
What do you think?
Also, if I add a shop to the basic Arctic, I have limited design options right?
You could try starting two staging sites (maybe in your sub domain) then import Arctic and Imprint to them and see replicate the settings from them manually?
That's what I would do if you already have existing content in the existing site.
