Make logo larger than sticky menu, then shrink to fit upon scrolling?

Hi Tom,

Is there any way to make the logo larger than the sticky menu (overlap it) when the page is first opened, like this: http://www.kerrybober.com/

But then have the logo shrink to fit into the sticky menu once scrolling? (her logo just disappears when the user starts scrolling her site).

I do like the idea of the logo being larger for when the site visitor first views the site.

Thanks for any ideas you may have...

Best to you, Meredith

Hi Meredith,

This would depend on how your header is displaying when you first load the site. Do you have something set up that only needs to above effect done to it? If so, can you link me to it? That would be the easiest way for me to give you some code :)

Cool, thanks so much, Tom...you have answered my question--that the effect is possible to do.

My logo is still in the tweaking stages (by someone else), so what I have been using to play with it in GP is a screenshot I took of it from an email so I would have a jpeg. So...I should probably wait to show you what I'm doing until I have the finalized file.

Is there a certain file format and image size you recommend using? The jpeg I used was pretty small, but presented itself very nicely no matter how I sized the sticky menu.

But if there is something I should know about file format and size, I thought I should check while still working with the designer.

Thanks!!

Have a grand day....Meredith

Nothing specific, it should just be large enough to hang out of the header area when it's not sticky :)
