I am not seeing any changes - there is still CSS in the Customizer > Simple CSS and Customizer > Additional CSS. Can you double check and clear any plugin/server caches.

Unless i'm misunderstanding, should I move ALL the CSS from Additional to Simple or just the ghost button section?

yes move ALL the CSS from Additional CSS to Simple CSS in the Customizer.
