Looking for GP "Getting Started" or Overview Documentation or Vid

New to GP, looks like great documentation for specific how to's or troubleshooting, but can't find anything online to orient me on getting started, and the order of things.
For example, when to make my settings in Customization vs. Elements, and then when in Elements which elements take precedence over others?
Is there anything like a 35,000 foot level to orient users on 'best practices' and approach to working with GP/Elements?

so to explain a little:
The Customizer is where you should begin. It defines the global styling for the entire site.
Of the three Elements - the Layout and Header have styling controls that will override the customizer styling for the areas you define in there Display Rules.
In addition to this you have the Layout Metabox and Disable Elements Meta boxes in the post editor. Which will override both the Layout Element and Customizer controls
So simple rules are:
Start with the Customizer, for styles you want to apply globally.
Use the Elements module to override those settings for specific parts of the site.
