Logo disappearing in main theme, footer disappearing in child theme

Hi!

I am moving my second site to GP (Premium). Had installed the Aspire site, but decided to undo that in the end. Now something funny is happening: if I activate the main GP theme, my footer text shows, but my logo image does not (even though I it's there under customizer > layout). If I use my child theme, the logo does show up, but the footer text does not (even though it's there in the footer under layout, in the right colors, etc.) Can't really seem to figure out what's going on here. Any ideas? (site is currently in maintenance mode)

Edit: woa, now I'm even more confused: if I open te homepage to edit it with Elementor Pro, I see both logo and footer, as well as an image that I had forgotten that I had uploaded. It's invisible in the customizer as well as on the 'live' homepage (which isn't really live as the site is in maintenance, but still).

Edit2: argh, I seem to have messed things up: in the Elementor editor, I see that the header is covering the image. Vaguely remember reading something about this, but no idea what I did here.

Cheers, Fem

I might need to take a break, I'm obviously tired. It's something with the elements (I think), if I disable them, all is showing and editable.

WordPress forces us to use their built in function for the site logo. The problem with it is it's theme specific, meaning if you switch between parent/child theme, the logo will change depending on the one that was uploaded when the theme was active.

Your site has a coming soon image, so I'm not able to see the Elementor section covering the header.

Hi Tom, all good now. Everything is back in its place and the site is live again! :)

Awesome :)
