[Support request] List of Child Pages

Hi,
Just activated the child theme for GP, running GP premium 1.8.2 on WP ver.5.2.1
Went through this because I wanted to add a function to list child pages on a parent page using functions.php for the child theme.
None of the examples available online worked, and I’m not a php programmer.
Could you help?

where would you want the list of child pages to be displayed?
Is it within the content of the page or as sidebar widget for example?
