Links in "Elements". Do they help SEO?

Hello, I have a question about the links within an "element".
For example, if I create an "element" to appear throughout the site with a link to the "Home" page. Does Google include it as part of internal linking?
Because the Yoast SEO plugin does not detect them.

Google will see it - but Yoast does not as it only parses whats in the post content ie. whats visible in the editor.
