Limit number of posts on homepage

On my homepage http://www.normalforglastonbury.uk it's showing every pinned post, I'd like to limit this to 24, but I've changed the settings under 'Reading' and this makes no difference.

That's a WordPress setting so it should definitely work.
Can you try disabling all plugins to eliminate any conflicts?

Solved! It was displaying all my pinned posts. I unpinned the lot and its now limiting
the posts displayed to the number I set.
