Lightweight Grid Column and WordPress 5.0

I use Lightweight Grid Column (LGC) plugin in almost all my GeneratePress sites. One of my favorite plugins, glad I found it through this forum! I notice LGC is compatible up to WordPress 4.9.8. Will a version be released for WordPress 5.0 compatibility?
Honestly, it's likely not necessary for WP 5.0, as Gutenberg has a columns block.
It's a good thing, as shortcodes aren't very user-friendly.
If you're using the classic editor still in 5.0, the plugin will continue to work just fine :)
Thanks, Tom. Appreciate your quick response. I'm not able to upgrade to WordPress 5.0 since several of the plugins I use aren't yet 5.0-compatible.
Have you used the column block in WordPress 5.0?
I have. It's not amazing, but it works. Looking forward to future improvements to it :)

The UI can do with some improvements but I like it in general!
Thanks Leo and Tom. I had heard from other people that the Column Block was, ahem, not quite up to par. But that was early last month.
Hopefully the latest version in 5.0 will be better.
