    Dear Team,

I have two licences. One for my personal clients (I do freelancing) and one for my agency.

I use GeneratePress and Elementor to develop projects.

While delivering projects, I have to activate GeneratePress.

The issue is, on the GeneratePress options page, the licence is saved as “Password” type. If we just inspect element and change the type from “Password” to “Text”, then the full licence is displayed to the user!

Most of the programmers and techies know this simple trick. This results in the misuse of the licence.

Is there any possible way to encode/hide the licence key from the users?

    Thanks.
    Akhil.

    Hi there,

Hmm, good point! There isn’t a way to hide it right now, but I’ll take a look at doing that in 1.10. Perhaps as part of a White Label feature πŸ™‚

    Thanks for the feedback!

    Hi there,

1.10.0 has a different focus as of right now, it’s going to be released soon.

I’ll look at this to go along with our White Label feature planned for this year. Possibly in 1.11.0 πŸ™‚

Another year has gone by! Any updates? I don’t know why you guys are not taking care of this issue seriously! Any client can easily steal the license and use it on any site!

We do have certain things prioritized, and this isn’t something we’ve seen a lot of problems with. It’s still something we’d like to get done ASAP.
