I thought some others might be interested in this. My site is at:
http://www.nothingdumber.com/
I’ve been bugging Tom about Anchor tags etc and everything is now working. I’ve used Elementor and some code from Lyle to adjust the scroll.
This is a 2 page site, which is a classic one-pager with a separate blog page. When I went to the blog page and clicked on “Locate Us” “About Us” or “Contact” it didn’t work. It always went to the bottom of the page. “Home” worked fine. After doing a good bit of digging, it seems this is a long standing Firefox bug – traceable to 2012 and continuing through the latest release. Chrome, Edge, Safari, Opera, even IE work fine.
I thought this may help some others as one page sites seem to be gaining in popularity.
Not sure what I’m going to do:
a. Live with It
b. Find a way to disable all menu items on blog pages, except “Home”. Ideally, only when a FF browser is detected. (Not sure this is possible).
c. Remove the blog
Hmmmmmmm
